Even in winter, the sun is intense. We need more trees and other infrastructure that helps make walking more pleasant when the weather is lovely, and more bearable when the weather is not. Greenery in general is lacking downtown, although the focus should on native plants that don't add to the pollen/asthma problem. "Pocket parks" (such as the one being developed at Vernon and Central) are another great way to add green spots around town.
