Change 7th St. and 7th Ave one way boulevards, one Northbound, the other Southbound pushing major traffic to 19th Ave on W and 16th on East. Then narrow and beautify the two boulevards to encourage higher density and beautification with narrower roads. Currently there are many historical homes and neighborhoods between these East/West streets that could easily be redeveloped to frame the central corridor of the city. The addition of additional walk and bike paths along with the narrower boulevard would encourage pedestrian activities and more residential-minded intercity development.
