Reviewed Ideas
Two friends of mine have an idea. They want to create innovative housing for people seeking to live smaller, greener, and closer in community. They are looking at converting existing housing stock, apartments, or pocket neighborhoods into collaborative living environments. This could involve providing housing for targeted populations or people with special needs. They have developed a prototype called Vesta, a multi-family, mixed-use development that outlines their vision for a "neighborhood of the future." It could be situated almost anywhere along light rail. They have consulted with a renowned architect from Taliesin West and researched and traveled to 20 similar-in-concept communities across the West. Now they are trying to make it happen. Their Facebook page, linked below, provides greater detail. I wish them the best of success!
