I would like to see Light Rail move up toward the north valley. It could follow the path along the 51, then move towards desert ridge, eventually it could loop across Deer Valley area skirting the freeway and link up with Deer Valley Airport and connect to a 19th Avenue/Metro Center Line.

I also foresee that Scottsdale will continue to oppose the light rail. One thing I can see happening is light rail through Tempe/ASU up along Rio Salado Parkway past Tempe Market Place up to the new Cubs stadium. I then foresee funding from the Salt River tribe to get light rail to connect on the reservation toward the casinos and Salt River Fields, that would leave it with a right of way down the 101 HOV lanes to stop at TPC/Westworld, then connecting with Desert Ridge and allowing for a commuter/circulator to cover Scottsdale Airpark.
