For those that visit Phoenix for conventions and other events, it would be great to attract and build up some higher-end shopping destinations and recreation options along the existing and future light rail path(s). Making Phoenix proper a destination for shopping, leisure and nightlife, in addition to meetings, hiking and golf, would really help round out our tourism attractiveness.
The proposed bike share program could serve to provide expanded access for convention attendees and other visitors to existing destinations such as the Phoenix Zoo and the Botanical Garden.
