There are no spring training facilities anywhere in central phoenix. Every other major hub in the city basically has a stadium. I've heard that the A's {the current best light rail-able stadium} might move to Mesa in the old Cubs stadium that they plan on renovating. Why not convince them to move to central phoenix? It would be a great tourist draw and local attraction. It would increase the demand for fans to stay in central phoenix and would anchor a really good base point to see baseball all around the city.. The current temporary urban farm at indian school and central might make a good starting point for discussion to locate this new stadium.
