As soon as the Light Rail system opened it was pretty obvious that some stations had certain advantages over others -- entertainment, housing, culture, restaurants, etc. Others still seem to lag behind. How about on a regular basis we celebrate individual stations with a mini-festival, farmers market, music, food/sampling, etc. Like a 'progressive dinner,' riders could select from pre-arranged 'menu' of stops. The next phase could showcase various bike-ped infrastructure -- green bike lanes, cycle tracks, bike parking, bike share, traffic calming -- at selected stops.
