Idea Description: Welcome to the interactive bikeshare input map for the City of Phoenix. We are exploring options for implementing a secure bike sharing program where people can ride a bicycle designed for low-cost, short-term use to and from closely spaced rental kiosks. Neighborhoods, businesses, and public facilities are everywhere along the light rail corridor. Understanding which locations that you would be willing to ride a bicycle to or from is important to planning where bikeshare kiosks could be installed. Let us know where your favorite spots to bicycle are and how you would ride bikes along the corridor. The information you provide will be used by the City’s project advisory group to develop recommendations. You can visit this website as often as you wish. Tell your friends, relatives, bicycling companions and work colleagues about it and encourage them to give input as well. We currently plan to close the site on February 28, 2013 so that all the input gathered can be analyzed by advisory group and integrated into the first draft of recommendations.
