While this bike share idea is attractive to those who are looking for more freebies, it is totally fiscally irresponsible. The City's planning department does not have a blank check to fund any and all 'wish lists' and this one would be monumental in cost. Past experience yields that they are abused, stolen and fall into disrepair like all 'community property'. We have provisions for transport of individually owned bikes now...let's stay with that and concentrate on things that make fiscal sense.
