3 blocks from Roosevelt stop, this really could be two different items
- the wonderful vitality displayed in the 301 W Roosevelt formerly empty storefront half block - all locally owned businesses
- the magnificently emergent grocery store sprouts now appearing in the cracks of downtown streets
3,000 empty square feet were just rented by a group of micro entrepreneurs nurtured by the downtown Farmers Market and Community Food Connections the past decade. It sells locally grown pesticide-free produce, flea-market acquired art as well as emerging artists' work, communbity gardening classes, yoga and dance instruction, chef demonstrations, pulse and tongue readings.
THAT's a community!
