Opened as a Takit in 1928, gobbled up by the California conglomerate named Safeway a year later, sold off in the '50s this historic store remains in operation as a grocery store continuously for 83 years.

It was once served by an east-west street car line along Pierce and a north-south streetcar line on 10th St

A living legend in Phoenix.
