The storefront maybe temporarily gone, but having a center for community in Downtown is important, just wish it was not a parking lot. We need more of these markets in along the light rail, as proposed, planned and built. They should be more frequent and include everything from farm goods to arts & Crafts. Like Scottsdale, a few times a month, it should be a festival. Portland had a GREAT festival in the 90s in the warehouse district where the MAX crossed the Wilamette. Charleston has a great market in the public square. We still need a daily market downtown that is not just for specialties, subscriptions or special occasions, and NOT just a Circle K. It is a bit of food desert on non-market, non-car days.

by jo W1 Is it possible to have wood booths built for use by vendors. The booths could be rented, bringing in enough funds to maintain the site. It could be a farmers market during the day, artist on First Friday, other things at other times.
