They do not have to be large and overwhelming, but there should be more entertainment districts spread throughout the city. These would give focus to areas that they currently lack. A good example is the Melrose curve. An entertainment districtthrough there should encourage streetside patios, outdoor dining and a shared parking structure. This are, and similar areas would benefit by the added vibrance of an active environment, as well as be an added amenity for the adjoining neighborhoods. An entertainment district does not mean more crime, as it would be easier to patrol, as well as the more people that are around, the less privacy the bad ones have.
