It looked far better in Mediterranean whitewash. Pity they decided to make it look like any southwest anything instead.

A neighborhood grocery store built in 1966 failed to get bulldozed because it was a block away from SR 51.

So it gets bought 10 years ago and turned into a valleywide mecca for islamic foods, and voted last year as the second best international market in the Valley.

Our historic city should have more such vital success stories.
