Ok so it's not locally owned and it's in a building that won't have to pay property tax in, like, forever - but it is reasonably locavore [I've seen their people shopping at the Farmers Market a few blocks away] and great food in an austere but classy ambience.
Best of all, it's across the street from the Van Buren stop.
