The canal system is the backbone of out community. There would have never been a Hohokom Community in this region and no City of Phoenix without the amazing system of canals that support both agriculture and humans.

We should celebrate this system (like Venice) and develop the canal banks as suggested in the Canal Scape program developed in this century by Dr. Nan Ellin.
