A bullet train from Sky Harbor would take about 12 minutes to get to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. It would allow Gateway to act like a Terminal 5 of Sky Harbor. If this "shuttle" service were added to the airline reservation systems and if luggage were passed through automatically, people could fly into one airport and out the other, or park at one airport and fly out the other. The combined six runways (with room to grow) would help make Phoenix a major airline/transportation hub.
