Bus bays are where a small lane appears on the side of the road for buses to pull into to drop off and pick up riders. The problem is, the purpose of bus bays are to get buses out of the way of automobile drivers, not to make more efficient transit. In fact, bus bays are anti-transit because they often trap the bus inside while traffic goes by, which makes the bus route slower than it should be and causes lots of schedule variability which leads to longer average wait times for riders. All of that is to say that we don't want any new bus bays, and we want the existing ones to go away and just put the bus stops on the side of the street without any special curb cutouts.
