To encourage the thriving small business, arts and nightlife in the downtown area, I suggest that all meters north of Van Buren be removed. Businesses such as Rumbar, Pita Jungle, Civic Space Park, the Post Office, Valley Youth Theatre, Moira Sushi, Bliss, Phoenix Public market and more could benefit from the increased ease of parking in this area. I often drive by this area during the day and see rows and rows of empty meters. Encourage more people to patronize downtown by increasing the availability of parking in this area that needs encouragement for more people to explore what is available.
