This would be similar to the North Mountain Project, which is tied to extending light rail to Metrocenter and revitalizing the whole area, as well as improvements within the adjacent commercial & residential area. West Phoenix needs a similar major project connected with the extension of light rail to 79th Ave.; the Village Core Plan (Desert Sky Mall area), and with city-designated employment centers at 27th Ave.& I-10, as well as 99th Ave. & I-10.
