Lets expand Encanto Park to include the Fairgrounds

While many Parks in PHX are in dire need of improvement (I'm looking at you Hance), I think it's safe to say that Encanto Park is Phoenix's most important park. She's supposed to be the Crown jewel of the Phoenix parks system but she's 75 years old and is really starting to show it.

Encanto Park should be expanded to include the Fairgrounds. This would give the park room for baseball, soccer/football fields, a skatepark, et cetera. It would also mean when the County & State fairs are going on, instead of walking around on awful hot blacktop, people can be walking in trees & grass.

Part of this project could be to also rehab many of the buildings at the Fairgrounds, including the Grandstand and Memorial Coliseum. If my other idea of "Graduating" Phoenix College happened, eventually the Coliseum could become their home basketball arena. See more on that idea here:
