With the demise of the American economy and struggles residents face, now is the opportune time to educate our public in financial literacy. Topics covered should include: credit cards, mortgages, banking, student loans, automobile financing, taxes, etc. A basic understanding of any core financial issues that Americans deal with on a daily basis has been neglected in our current education system. If Phoenix can be a national leader in providing this consumer education, the Valley and country would be better off.
