Setting up Google Maps Trail view

Google Maps' popular Streetview function will soon also have a Trail view function for hikers to visualize trails before they visit. Currently the Google Maps team is hiking many of the most popular Grand Canyon trails with their domed cameras in tow and setting up trail view there.

Phoenix already has a world class desert and mountain preserve system. Lets strengthen our strength and become one of the 1st cities to have its trails on Trail view. Phoenix always seems to be 3 step behind on cool, cutting edge technology stuff like this, it would be nice to be one of the first ones out of the gate for a change.

Google is in the State anyhow at Grand Canyon, I hope the City can act quickly and do whatever is possible to have them mapping South Mountain, Camelback, Squaw Peak, Shaw Butte/North Mountain and the Sonoran Desert Preserve.
