I love working for ASU downtown, but I don't think we - and the UA Medical School - should be the only educational institutions downtown. There is a small satellite campus for Phoenix College, but perhaps that could be expanded. Introducing an arts or a culinary institute would diversify the population.

    I'd also like to see Phoenix aggressively recruit more "For profit" and Trade schools to Downtown. We've seen the Phoenix School of Law move Downtown and thats a good thing. But it would be nice if schools like Devry, University of Phoenix, etc. had a presence in a Downtown office tower, so working adults could take night classes.

    As Downtown continues to grow and new office towers are built, older towers will be emptied out as Law firms and such migrate to the new buildings. The City should try to work with the tower owners to turn at least one of these older towers into the "Education Tower" full of trade/night schools.
