HOT lanes are simply a less exclusive version of the HOV concept. They are HOV lanes (which we have today during certain times), that also allow single-occupancy vehicles to use the lane for a fee. That fee is based on how much traffic there is.

This transportation mechanism is already used all over the country and achieves three things:

1) It reduces congestion for everyone on the highway.
2) It allows those that are willing to pay for faster travel to do so.
3) It adds revenue to our increasingly strapped transportation budgets.

Expedite the MAG studies (if they're even still happening), and bring HOT lanes to Phoenix!
