(But, in a good way) We hear a lot about cities that are doing things right with Portland being very livable and bikeable, New York, Washington DC and Boston have added bike infrastructure and bike sharing (as have numerous other cities). And Long Beach is doing fantastic things as part of their "Living Community Agenda". Like Long Beach, cities that once relied on cars are now becoming more pedestrian and bike friendly and these cities are becoming much more attractive places to live, work and visit because of it. They're all doing something right. Is Phoenix next? Our city is the 33rd most walkable city with a Walk Score of 45, yet we have some of the best weather in the country. We're not on the list of most bikeable cities, but Tucson is #8 and Tempe has a great score as well. The addition of the light rail really stepped it up for us. We have so many people here that want to make this a great city and we have this wonderful site full of ideas. Now we have an opportunity to become a great walkable, bikeable city of canals that people will be talking about.
