Neon signs are one of the last remaining examples of the rise of Phoenix and the growth of car culture. Van Buren was filled with hotels and resorts same with Grand Ave. Many of the signs are gone, but a few survive and need to preserved. These signs provide great insight and educational opportunity into the culture of the US and Phoenix in it's heyday.
