For high traffic parking lots in the mountain parks and preserves, there needs to be a message board or signs communicating when the park is temporarily closed for a mountain rescue. Camelback Mtn., with it's small parking space and access close to a busy arterial, commonly people back-up behind the closed gate when a mountain rescue is in process. A traffic jam ensues and Park Rangers cannot keep up with the number questions and cars slowing or halting traffic. Many questions would be resolved with a message board of the reason the park is temporarily closed to vehicle traffic. Also, many people ask how long the parking lot will be closed. No one ever knows that question. A sign could read: Mountain Rescue in Progress. Park temporarily closed to incoming traffic (or just "vehicle traffic"). No estimation on time length of closure.
