To decrease use of non-renewable energy, and reduce the heat island effect and increase the publics awareness of the environment: provide Solar panels over parking areas, around public space, on commercial properties and residential properties.
In our climate the use of solar should be encouraged! Solar parking canopies have been installed at the Burton Barr Library (Central Avenue & Willetta) and at the Veteran's Administration Hospital (7th Street & Indian School Road). Has anyone seen this done in the private sector for parking?
