Phoenix needs a space devoted to nurturing and developing small businesses started by young entrepreneurs. This space should be located downtown and have strict requirements to enter. The businesses should be contributing to the local economy and job market. As an ASU alumnus, I am one of the few people from out side the state that stayed in Arizona post graduation. It is very important to keep the entrepreneurs in the state. The center should provide several resources to allow start-ups an easier and quicker growth. Community conference rooms, shared internet, network meetings, speakers, and other things should be included. A sustainable, open, comfortable environment should be provided. This will show that Phoenix is very supportive of small business and will entice young entrepreneurs to stay in the state.
