a. We need a landmark like Chicago has Sears Tower, New York the Statue of Liberty or San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge. I propose a 30 story building in the shape of a Flaming Bird where the head is a viewing room. The bottom will be a fountain of water and gas pumped flames. The water will have jets of water shooting 10 stories in the air back lit with orange red and yellow lights. The Eyes of the bird will be back lit with the same light color scheme. The Beak of the Bird will be a skywalk for tourists and visitors. It will face East over Central symbolic of watching for the rising sun (the rising from the ashes). I say we place it between the Old Dial Building and The Westward Ho. This location is essential to connect the Uptown and Downtown skylines. Its shape of a Phoenix Bird will drive valley pride through symbolism. All of the 30 floors will be bars restaurants and theaters, a nightlife epicenter of The Valley of the Sun. The First Floor will be a history museum of Phoenix itself. Imagine the tail of the bird streaming down in an open pyramid shape a large glass open concept museum with a hall of mayors, an industry exhibit highlighting the best of Phoenix History Motorola, Honeywell, John F.
