Safety is a huge obstacle that cyclists face when commuting from to and from work, school, and the like. Why can't Phoenix be part of the solution? I would purpose that street use be revised to encourage bicycle use by incorporating Bikeways and even bicycle only highways such as Denmark's C99. those who would cycle if no for the lack of safe transit routes would join the ranks of the cyclocommuuter. In addition to improved roads, allowing basic cycle related utilities could do wonders to easing the possible burdens of cycle related problems. Fill stations, bike racks, and emergency transportation options all would be helpful.
