This has been done in different ways to build neighborhoods.. in cities like: San Diego, Columbus etc. It would indicate that people are entering a new different area..Which is the OPPOSITE of the way Phoenix currently works..which is: HIDE everything in the middle. The entrance Signage is something you see Resorts, Malls, High End Subdivisions doing to clearly signify an area. Phoenix could take part in this and expand it's percieved offerings with such signs..
