Reviewed Ideas
While activation of Adams street is being considered, I'd like to suggest using the old Matador space for a unique bookstore idea offering the following: food/coffee, events, meeting space specifically designed for innovation and idea sharing, classes taught daily to advance urbanism, art, sustainability, culture, etc., news stand - maybe even allow a TV station (of Phoenix 11) to have photo booth to get input from the community, have the ability to transform the space for festivals that could take place on the street, rotating art exhibits - a place where people can shop, hang out morning, noon and night - meet new people and connect all things downtown. Redesign the outside for outdoor seating, reading, working, chess tables made by local artist, etc. Infuse art/greenery and shade into the outdoor walls. Since the building is city owned, the following name for it could be: City Books & Brew.
