* White LED lighting in Hance Park and Steele Indian School Park at night... in cities across the country, it's been proven that converting current "amber" colored bulbs with LED bulbs in parks increases night-time utilization of parks as the perception is that the parks are safer because a person's eyes can see colors for what they are - green grass and trees look green with LED lights, and not yellow/brown as they do with the current lighting. The new bulbs last 100,000 hours vs 3,000-6,000 hours, and use a fraction of the energy... the cost of the bulbs is extremely low now, so financially it also makes sense - even more so if you consider reduced security issues due to increased utilization of the parks by the general public. If you use full-spectrum LEDs, trees will also continue to grow at night so the parks will mature much more quickly.

* Bridge over Central Avenue at Hance Park - same thing - if we could change the bulbs for the street lamps to say "Hey! There's something special here!" we could further establish a sense of identity to arriving into the downtown core.

* Central Library - Irish Cultural Center - yet another lighting opportunity. We have a great library building, but passing it as well as the Irish Cultural Center at night, you wouldn't even know buildings are there, let alone Phoenix "Points of Pride". Upward illumination would highlight these buildings - we're talking just a few hundred dollars per building - the lights I have on The Clarendon Hotel are now $35-$80 each, and I only have 8 of them that light up the entire hotel!
