16th Street has great bones that should be unveiled...along with some amazing architecturally unique buildings which exist, given they are transformed back to their original character. The proximity of these buildings to one another would allow a very walkable district. Since 16th Street borders Coronado, and with several other hip historic neighborhoods in close proximity like Country Club and Cheery Lynn...there are plenty of nearby existing developments to support new retail and restaurants. What was done at 7th Ave. and McDowell could happen here too by encouraging developers to take the chance. Take advantage of what's there and improve upon it!
