Improve commercial areas on our primary roads in Central

Many of the historic neighborhoods like Willo, Palmcroft & Coronado have improved from what they were 20 years ago. However, it is deceiving to anyone driving the 7's, 16th, McDowell, Thomas or Indian School roads. The same emphasis has not been placed on these commercial roads to gentrify at the same pace as the improved and gorgeous neighborhoods they are a part of. The neighborhood associations focus on their own internal neighborhood which is great; but who is helping to link them together in a cohesive manner? The city could improve these business corridors and make them more appealing for residents and visitors by using tree's, lighting, encouraging adaptive reuse, etc. What is finally happening at 7th Avenue and McDowell is a perfect example of what is working.
