Out of Phoenix's numerous offerings, the Desert Botanical Garden is one of my favorites. Still, the last time I checked, it seemed like it was difficult to make the trip there using the bus or light rail. This doesn't make sense, since this is an offering that is unique to Phoenix and to Arizona, and which attracts many visitors. The City of Phoenix, in particular Valley Metro, should work with the Garden to make it more accessible using mass transit. If we want more people to appreciate the beauty and fragility of our desert ecosystem, then we need to make the Garden as accessible as possible for everyone to enjoy.
