Ted Drews is a local, ole tyme hang out in St. Louis where families go for frozen custard. I can't think of a place I go like that in Phoenix. Tucson has Pat's, Houston has Goode Co. New Orleans has Mother's. Atlanta has the Varsity. We have.... well chains and strip malls. Scooptacular in Laveen is awesome, but it's a strip mall. Postino's is great for a kiddless night out, but Durrant's is pricey. What is that quintessential Phoenix place you take visitors? Places like Postino's are trying to create them, but we still need the one's of yore.
