Reviewed Ideas
A proposal for mountain preserve areas to charge a ramada reservation fee & require a deposit. The City of Phoenix does not charge a reservation fee for most of the reservable ramada areas in the mountain preserves. The City should start charging a fee for reserving ramadas. This does not pertain to the ramada areas that are "first come first serve". There are specific ramada areas in the mountain preserves that are popularly reserved for large events. The ramadas that can be reserved are reserved on a daily to weekly basis for large events such as reunions, weddings, and birthday parties. I've seen these areas left a huge HUGE mess after the event and park personnel are responsible to clean up. These events should pay a reservation fee to offset costs of hours spent for ramada prep, cleaning, and supplies used to cater to the large group/event. Also, if these groups do not pick-up after themselves (I'm not talking about pulling trash), they will loose their deposit. Please check out the link for Albuquerque's fees.
