Since pound for pound, children are affected by the environment more than anyone, we work with the school districts to improve the health on several concepts.
1. Promote Integrated Pest Managment in schools which would reduce the use of pesticides (zero cost increase program).
2. Work with the State (ADEQ) on their healthy air flag program in all schools. This would let the kids know of the air quality. (zero cost program)
3. Reduce school bus idling and go after EPA grants to retrofit school busses to decrease emissions.
4. Update children and parents at large on recent cases (numbers) on flu, whopping cough, and other illnesses that may be prevalent in the system.
