The Sun Mercantile Building, the last remaining building in Phoenix's second Chinatown, was designed by E.W. Bacon and constructed by Wells & Son in 1929. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Phoenix Historic Property Register. Owned by the city of Phoenix and in good condition, the Sun Merc would be an excellent candidate for adaptive reuse as part of a revitalized Warehouse District.
