A Six Flags / Hurricane Harbor combination would be ideal. There is a complex like this in St Louis and several other cities. Many people say we can not have a big amusement park here because of the heat in the summer, but the Midwest is actually worse with the heat and extreme humidity.
Water rides at the amusement park are very nice too.
