For Downtown to truly Flourish it needs Big Box Retailers such as the Home Depot, Fry's, Sprouts etc to be encouraged to build directly in the Downtown area at the same time new housing units are being built. There appears to be a half hearted construction efforts in regards to downtown. By it's obvious nature: construction involves change.. Why not do alot at once and INSURE it's outcome and design? There are empty lots upon lots in and around Downtown. That is not acceptable. Especially since Arizona based retailers should be there: Petco, Massage Envy, Sprouts etc. BUILD and destroy that rotting 70's garbage today.
