Many cities use public parks/space to hold free music concerts for their residents during the more hospitable times of year. PHX should do the same. We can vary the genres of music that would be featured, so that we hold a classical music series, a rock series, a country/western series, etc., maybe also a world music festival. We could even do series based on a certain theme, like a one featuring 1960s cover bands, etc. Food trucks could stand at the ends of the park to sell refreshments. This could easily expand from being a free concert series to a city block party.
