We all know that Phoenix is unbearably hot at least 6 months of the year--in the late spring, summer, and most of the fall. Why not help cool it down by providing shade everywhere--lots of desert trees any place that is is possible to plant them, shade structures at all bus stops, shade for parking lots, more shade around public areas and buildings, more shade around stores and malls. This would not only be tremendously appreciated by our hot, perspiring residents--especially those riding public transportation or bicycles--but it might just help convince visitors (other than those visiting in the winter) to come back to Phoenix again.
