Phoenix, the sixth(?) largest, and one of the youngest cities in the U.S. needs to fully take its place among the top communities. To become a"noteworthy" city, a sophisticated, diverse, bustling city a task force could be created to study how other cities encourage a level of density, discourage "temp" strip malls and further sprawl, encourage the arts and distinctive architecture, foster unique attractions and qualities of their cities, provide opportunities for creating community involvement, pride, and participate in the national scene. With their new knowledge the task force could develop a set of goals and strategies for implementing their findings.
