Stop the talk and do the walk. Let's get to work now with the criteria to design 1. walkable, livable neighborhoods that have the services and facilities that provide for daily personal needs of the immediate surrounding neighborhood, 2. a local walking/biking circulation system that gives safe, convenient access to these facilities and fosters an engaging environment and, 3. a variety of housing that encourages the community commitment and ongoing renewal as individual family needs may change and balances its demographic makeup with its residents’ sustained attachment to the neighborhood . In this kind of environment families can nurture, children can reach their potential, and seniors can lead a socially fulfilling, independent life.
