I believe that Phoenix should work to enforce exit signs at both the top AND bottom of doorways in commercial zoning. In case of a fire, it would make our buildings safer to evacuate if they filled with smoke.

In new residential buildings enforce sprinklers for all sizes built, not just over a certain sized residences. This would help save lives and reduce insurance costs as well as allow for reduced structure loss and safer buildings for fire fighters.

Both of these ideas would help the fire department to expand resources and reduce their risks by allowing for safer evacuations and a longer period to save the people and structures.
