Sample shade structure

I've seen another suggestion to add shade to kids' playground equipment in Phoenix parks, and I definitely agree with that. But how about going a step further to create a signature 'Shade Park'? A significant portion of the park (half?) would be covered with interesting shade structures (see photo for example). Many of the park's amenities, such as playground equipment and picnic tables, would be located in the shade.
